The palate is dominated by a deep, resinous dankness and firm bitterness that grounds the tropical fruit profile. Appearance. Luminous deep gold to pale copper with a fine-beaded, persistent off-white head that leaves sticky lacing. Displays good clarity with only a faint, crystalline haze common in heavily dry-hopped ales.
Aroma. High intensity aroma defined by a massive wave of tropical and stone fruits, specifically apricot jam and overripe mango, punctuated by sharp grapefruit zest. Taste. Initial impression is a momentary, soft sweetness that quickly yields to intense flavors of tropical fruit and citrus rind. The finish is remarkably dry for the gravity, leaving a lingering, clean bitterness and a touch of fruit leather in the aftertaste.
