The sensory experience is led by an explosive aromatic profile of citrus pith and resinous pine, derived from a heavy-handed hop schedule and fresh fruit addition. On the palate, the bright acidity of the grapefruit enhances the beer’s natural citrusy hop character, supported by a lean, bready malt foundation. Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (7-9 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a large, white, persistent head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh grapefruit zest and peel. Notable hop-derived citrus and resinous pine notes. Low bready malt support; fermentation is clean with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tart grapefruit. Significant hop bitterness is present, balanced by a neutral, crackery malt flavor. Hop flavors of pine and citrus zest are prominent. The finish is very dry and clean with a lingering, pithy bitterness and a hint of grapefruit acidity.
