Appearance. Dark copper to deep mahogany with brilliant clarity and fiery red highlights; topped with a dense, fine-pored, tan head with excellent persistence and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity; dominated by rich, bready, and deeply toasted malt. Distinct notes of caramel and dried fruits like prunes or dark grapes are present, complemented by soft roasted cocoa accents. Hop aroma is virtually absent, and the fermentation profile is exceptionally clean.
Taste. Richly malty with an initial impression of caramelized sweetness. Deep flavors of toasted bread and Maillard products are layered with dark chocolate and roasted cocoa.
