This decadent Imperial Stout presents an indulgent sensory journey, defined by its ultra-pastry character. The profile is dominated by rich layers of sticky toffee and wood-derived vanilla, harmonizing with the warm, spicy aromatic kick of cinnamon donut. As a massive high-gravity barrel-aged offering, it features deep maple glaze sweetness that coats the palate, supported by a robust foundation of roasted malts evoking dark chocolate and espresso. The barrel influence adds a sophisticated oaky depth, tempering the intense confectionery notes. It is a viscous, slow-sipping experience where the 13% alcohol is felt as a plush, integrated warmth rather than a sharp edge.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). It pours with a thick, deep tan to mocha-colored head that shows moderate to low retention due to high viscosity, leaving oily legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of spicy cinnamon, maple syrup, and buttery toffee. Deep roasted malt notes of espresso and bittersweet chocolate are present, alongside barrel-derived vanilla and charred oak. Subtle dark fruit esters like raisins emerge as the beer warms.

Taste. An initial explosion of maple glaze and sticky toffee sweetness is balanced by a mid-palate of roasted grain and dark chocolate. Cinnamon provides a spicy, drying counterpoint to the doughy donut flavors. Hop bitterness is low to moderate but mostly masked by the residual sugars. The finish is long and lingering, showing vanilla, oak, and a rich, dessert-like aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Extremely full-bodied, chewy, and viscous with a velvety, syrupy texture. Carbonation is low. A smooth, significant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 13% ABV without being solventy or harsh.
