This German Pils captures the essence of a sun-drenched afternoon with a profile that balances structure and refreshment. The pour is greeted by a reckless, wet foam releasing an aromatic bouquet of fresh hay and fragrant honeysuckle, underscored by a delicate touch of honeyed malt. Bright notes of lemon verbena provide a modern herbal lift to the traditional spicy hop character. On the palate, the experience is clean and intensely dry, as the initial grainy sweetness quickly gives way to a firm, crisp bitterness. It finishes with an elegant, herbal snap that invites the next sip, embodying a dangerous drinkability.
Appearance. Brilliant, pale gold color (SRM 3) with a voluminous, frothy white head that shows excellent retention and leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderately high hop aroma characterized by flowery honeysuckle, herbal lemon verbena, and dried hay. Low grainy malt sweetness persists in the background with a distinct note of light honey. Extremely clean fermentation profile without esters or diacetyl.
Taste. High hop bitterness is immediately apparent, quickly cutting through a brief initial malt sweetness. Flavors of herbal lemon and sun-dried hay dominate. The finish is remarkably dry, clean, and crisp, featuring a lingering herbal hop character and a slight mineral sharpness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a crisp, lively mouthfeel. Very well-attenuated with a clean, refreshing snap and no perceivable alcohol warmth or astringency.
