This indulgent Sweet Stout captures the essence of New Zealand’s barista culture, presenting a velvety sensory profile inspired by the iconic flat white. Infused with freshly roasted Cuban and Brazilian coffee from C4, the beer opens with an inviting bouquet of sweetened espresso and aromatic vanilla beans. The addition of lactose imparts a luxurious, milk-like sweetness that perfectly balances the gentle roast of the malt bill. Each sip delivers a smooth, creamy texture reminiscent of micro-foam, blending dark chocolate undertones with a rich, lingering coffee finish. It is a refined, dessert-forward stout that celebrates the harmony between artisan coffee and traditional brewing.

Appearance. Very dark brown to black (35-40 SRM). Opaque. Thick, creamy tan head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aroma of freshly roasted Cuban and Brazilian coffee, accented by sweet, aromatic vanilla beans. Mild roasted malt character with notes of dark chocolate and a distinct cream-like lactose sweetness. Low fruity esters; no hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression of sweetened espresso and cream. Rich coffee flavors dominate, supported by dark chocolate and nutty malt notes. Moderate bitterness provides a clean counterpoint to the high residual sweetness of the lactose. Smooth vanilla bean character persists into a long, sweet, and velvety finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a rich, creamy texture from the lactose. Moderate carbonation. Subtle alcohol warmth. Smooth and silky, without any roasted grain astringency.
