Père Noël is a Christmas ale, though very different from any other Christmas ales you might know. While most Christmas ales are rich & sweet, this one is amber-coloured, 7% vol. Alc. strong and tastes quite bitter. The complex taste is completed with the addition of liquorice. In the recipe we can also find pale malt, Munich malt, Caramel malt, Brewers Gold hops and Hallertau hops.

La caratteristica principale di questa belgian ale è il perfetto bilanciamento delle note dolci di malto e delle note amarognole e floreali del luppolo.
Al naso presenta sentori fruttati, erbacei, floreali ed agrumati (scorza d’arancia candita), accompagnati da un mix di spezie (cannella, cardamomo, noce moscata, pepe e chiodi di garofano). Al palato è amarognola ed erbacea, con note di radice di liquirizia, caramello e spezie. Termina in un finale molto secco e con un retrogusto amaro.
Leggermente meno alcolica rispetto a molte altre birre di Natale, la Pere Noel ha una buona bevibilità.
