Chimay Première - Roja - Red - Rouge - Ale

First sold in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is noted for its copper color and as the first beer brewed by the monks of Chimay in 1862.

Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance.

Its taste, which imparts a silky sensation to the tongue, is made refreshing by a light touch of bitterness. To the palate, the taster perceives a pleasant astringency which complements the flavor qualities of this beer very harmoniously.

This top-fermented Trappist beer, re fermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.

La cerveza Chimay Roja es la cerveza más antigua de Chimay. Esta cerveza trapense posee un hermoso color cobrizo que la hace especialmente atractiva. Cubierta de una parte superior cremosa, emana un ligero aroma frutal a albaricoque que proviene de la fermentación. El aroma que se siente en la boca es el equilibrio que confirma los matices frutales que se revelan en el sentido del olfato. Esta tradicional cerveza belga se saborea mejor a temperatura de bodega (de 10 a 12 °C).

Un poco de historia

La cerveza “Première” de Chimay fue la primera cerveza que elaboraron los padres trapenses en 1863 en la abadía Notre-Dame de Scourmont.

Su actual receta fue elaborada por el Padre Théodore, cuando reconstruyó la cervecería después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Él se inspiró directamente en las recetas originales de los comienzos de la cervecería.

Pater Dubbel / Abbey Brown Ale

Corsendonk Pater Dubbel is a soft and top-fermented dark beer, refermented and aged in bottle to a lively sparkling beer with rich foam. This beer has caramelized malt on the nose with hints of ripe fruit. Mild on the palate with wellbalanced bitterness, hints of fruit, toasted bread, liquorice, coffee and caramel.

Cerveza de color marrón oscuro casi negro con espuma generosa. De aroma intenso a caramelo, regaliz, frutos rojos (ciruela) y floral. En boca el sabor con una entrada ligeramente ácida, evoluciona a matices herbales y afrutados junto con notas a cacao, con un toque amargo y picante sin que se note el alcohol, dejando un retrogusto muy sabroso y agradable.
