Пивоварня была основана крупным бизнесменом и землевладельцем Иоганном Либхардом в 1877 году в живописной баварской деревеньке Айинг, к юго-востоку от Мюнхена. Пивоварню построили для местных крестьян, которые хотели пропустить по кружечке свежего пива после пахоты.
Позднее потомственный владелец Франц Инзелькаммер принял ряд коммерческих решений, которые очень благотворно повлияли на развитие и дальнейшую судьбу предприятия. В 1999 году пивоварня была кардинально перестроена и сейчас она считается одной из самых современных и оснащенных в Баварии.
