Weihenstephan Tradition О производителе Weihenstephan — самая старая пивоваренная компания в мире. Она была официально открыта в 1040 году в Фрайзинге, на горе Вайнштефан, в бенедиктинском монастыре Святого Штефана близ Мюнхена. Сам монастырь был основан в 725 году и, судя по летописям, уже в 768 году местные монахи варили пиво.
Сегодня Баварская пивоваренная компания, принадлежащая государству, является ведущим производителем пива в Баварии. Weihenstephan производит широкий спектр сортов пива, в том числе самые редкие и уникальные сорта, когда-либо производившиеся в Баварии. Кроме того, Weihenstephan — единственная пивоварня, имеющая право размещать герб Баварии на своем логотипе.
Государственная значимость компании Вайнштефан заключается в ее миссии — не только производить пиво в коммерческих целях, но и сохранять лучшие традиции баварского пивоварения. О важности говорит и тот факт, что возглавляет Weihenstephan сам министр экономики Баварии.
