SIMPLE THINGS FERMENTATIONS MAIBOCK - Cork & Cask

Essentially a pale Bock, our take on the style starts with a blend of German Pilsner and UK Extra Pale Maris Otter malts, with Munich and DRC adding more fruity nuance. A generous dose of Tettnang hops late in the boil contributes floral and lightly herbal aroma with delicate spice notes. The overall effect is a really delicious and highly moreish lager with a fair bit more depth and character than your average tinnie but just as smashable. It’s an excellent pairing with food, especially smoked meats, eaten outdoors… Could it be the ultimate BBQ beer? My research this weekend certainly suggests so.
