General Information
Schwarze Rose 3HOPFIGKEIT is a pronounced Hazy IPA from the innovative German craft brewery Schwarze Rose, based in Mainz. This edition is the result of a collaboration with friends from Kuehn Kunz Rosen and Unverhopft – an annual project in which hops play the main role.
This year’s edition is dry-hopped with Krush, Citra, and Strata, and is bursting with tropical aromas and a creamy texture. This 6.8% alcohol IPA is unfiltered and cloudy, with a modern hoppy profile and a colorful label that is as vibrant as the contents of the bottle.
Flavor Profile
Hazy golden yellow in the glass with a stable, white foam head. The aroma entices with ripe mango, passion fruit, and citrus zest. The taste is juicy and explosively fruity, with soft floral accents and a light, balanced bitterness.
The mouthfeel is soft, creamy, and full-bodied, making this Hazy IPA very drinkable without sharpness.

The name 3HOPFIGKEIT is a playful combination of “hop character” and the number three, referring to the three hop varieties used: Krush, Citra, and Strata. This IPA is the fifth chapter in a series of collaborations centered around hop expression. Schwarze Rose is known for their modern IPAs that dare to deviate from the standard – and 3HOPFIGKEIT is the proof of that.
