Vooma is a blend of 12 & 30 month old oak aged mixed culture saisons. Lightly dry hopped at blending with Sovereign & Akoya
Yellow-orange in colour, the 30 month old barrel was brewed with raw wheat, rye malt and Chevallier heritage malt in the mash and aged hops in the boil. The other half was a fresher 12 month old hoppy saison bringing in esters, a bit of funk and overall exuberance. The blend result is a creamy, tannin rich beer with toffee apple, pear, lime zest and grapefruit notes. Acidity is there and a slow building bitterness finds you after a few sips to balance it out.
