Yorkshire Stingo is matured in these well-used oak casks in the brewery’s cellars deriving fruit, raisin, treacle toffee, Christmas pudding and slight oaky flavors, before being further naturally conditioned in bottle.
Best served at about 51°F.

Samuel Smith’s Old Brewery è un birrificio indipendente inglese, il più antico dello Yorkshire. Fondato nel 1758, viene associato a Samuel Smith, che lo acquistò e lo fece diventare un punto di riferimento dell’economia locale.
La fama del birrificio venne anche omaggiata dalla penna di Charles Dickens, che lo menzionò in suo romanzo. Samuel Smith prosegue la produzione di birra di qualità secondo i canoni della tradizione anglosassone; nel birrificio viene utilizzata la coltura di lievito da oltre due secoli e alcune attrezzature antiche, come le vasche per la fermentazione.
La gamma produttiva include numerose birre, la maggior parte delle quali legata a stili inglesi, e birre più ricercate, oltre a due tipologie di sidro. Alcune birre di Samuel Smith sono diventate dei riferimenti per lo stile birrario che rappresentano.
