We Are Affected. We’re huge fans of the classics here at Polly’s, and a discussion amongst the staff about desert island beers led us to talk about the incredible beers from De Ranke brewery, just on the Belgium/France border. Wanting to pay homage to the beers from this incredible part of the continent, we’ve put a modern twist on a classic with We Are Affected – a Grisette generously hopped with Nelson Sauvin. Featuring the lightest malt bill we’ve ever done, we specifically wanted to make a beer that is crisp, clean, and accentuates the incredible flavour notes imparted by the hops and the yeast. Utilizing a Belgian saison yeast, we find the floral and fruity phenols play off the white wine grape flavours from Nelson. Cheers!
