There’s just something that happens with our beers once they hit that 6.4% mark. Whether it was as far back as that incredible first version of El Dorado Mosaic from our dearly departed Originals range, all the way up to modern classics such as Pura Vida and Loral from our Augment and Hop Studio ranges, the Polly’s IPA just seems to hit perfection at that magical ABV. Surf Tension is no different to our previous entries in this internal thought process and we’ve come out all guns blazing for it – with a hop bill that is Rosa in all but a dash of Citra, we’ve utilised a combination of hops that we just know works in Ekuanot, Galaxy, Mosaic and Simcoe to create a beer that is the personification of a Polly’s IPA. Mosaic and Simcoe work their magic in harmony with one another to create that tropical fruit juice vibe we love so much, Galaxy adds fuel to the fire with even more stonefruit notes with a slight savoury edge, before Ekuanot brings a final flourish of herbal complexity to create everything we want to represent through our beers.
