Nog een brouwerij die we nauwlettend volgen, maar die ons hele bestaan als schepen in de nacht voorbij lijkt te zijn gegaan; Pomona Island brak in 2019 door in de Britse brouwscene en heeft sindsdien niet meer achterom gekeken - een welkome aanvulling op de brouwgemeenschap in Manchester en het bewijs dat de hype niet alleen achter Piccadilly Station bestaat. Omdat het zo lang had geduurd om samen te werken aan een bier, dachten we dat we net zo goed helemaal los konden gaan toen we onze vrienden uit Salford uitnodigden voor Noord-Wales - waar konden we anders heen dan om onze grootste triple IPA tot nu toe te brouwen? Een viervoudige dans van de meest verse oogsten van Mosaic, Citra, Talus en Strata, we wilden de smaak van dit bier maximaal tot zijn recht laten komen, zonder die kleffe zoetheid die de stijl kan overkomen. We zouden zeggen dat we het met dit bier uit het park hebben geslagen - als we er meer in hadden gestopt, zouden we uit onze voegen barsten; met 24 g/l aan krachtige passievrucht, mandarijn, zoete bessen en kokosnoot, met een vleugje rozenwater en salie voor de complexiteit, is dit absoluut een bier dat geschikt is voor een verjaardagsfeest.
