12% Sherry and Rye Whiskey BA Imperial Stout
A sweet Imperial Stout aged in a blend of Pedro Ximenez sherry and American Rye Whiskey barrels.
Taste: Sweet sherry and dark chocolate jumps onto the tongue with raisins and dried figs following as the glass warms. Cloves, ginger and pralines slide down with just a hint of fondant icing before finally smooth anise with vinous notes of cherry wine remains on the tongue until the next sip.
Appearance: Jet black with a brief brown head.
Nose: Toasted walnuts and raisins join with rich dark chocolate and pomegranate molasses, finishing with just a hint of allspice.
Malts: Pale malt, Munich malt, Carafa 2, Carafa special type 2, Dark chocolate malt, Chocolate rye malt, Golden naked oats, Cara pale, Brown malt, Aromatic malt, Cara 150, Cara 300, Flaked oats
Hops: Chinook, Warrior, Southern promise, Columbus, Northern Brewer, Demerara sugar
OG 30.2 ; FG 11.6 ; IBU 30
