The goal is to create the flavor balance desired from a spiced sweet wine, with all components adding warmth without making the final blend too strong in alcohol. It combines the typical ice cider characteristics, the concentrated apple profile, residual sugar and acidity with traditional spices The end result takes its place with very traditional spiced wines of the Nordics and connects to a wider European winter-tradition of glühwein and delicious mulled cider.
