featuring more complex flavours driven from the yeasty esters in the beer rather than the hops. Saison Dupont is the benchmark of the style.
Rochefort Trappist 8 · 9.2% ABV
A Belgian Dubbel, which is a dark Belgian style of beer with raisins, plums, dates and caramel flavours. This is also the first of the two Trappist beers in the selection, which are traditionally brewed under the supervision of monks.
Orval · 6.2% ABV
The second Trappist beer in the selection, and also one of Beermoths favourite beers of all time. Unusual for a Trappist beer, this Belgian Strong Ale is brewed with brettanomyces yeast, which continues to evolve the flavour of the beer the longer it is kept. Drank fresh the beer is more full-bodied with a pronounced bitterness. After ageing the beer develops complex funky flavours.
Duchesse de Bourgogne · 6.2% ABV
An excellent introductory sour beer, Duchesse de Bourgogne is a Flanders Red style, which has notes of balsamic vinegar and stone fruits like cherries. Many people find the flavour like strawberry laces!
Brugse Zot Blonde · 6.0% ABV
A classic Belgian Blonde, medium-bodied, a good balance of malts and hops and the fluffy white head you expect from this refreshing style.
De la Senne Zinnebir · 5.8% ABV
Golden blond, malty, with a fine bitterness and a long aftertaste. The scent is complex, developing a fruity-hop intense fragrance. Beers in the images for reference only, the beers may be different in the pack, check the listing for the current beers. Ver menos
