Estamos ante una cerveza con mucho temperamento. Una cerveza belga que nos traslada a los emblemáticos parajes escoceses de las Highlands. Fue a principios del s. XX cuando John Martin cambió su natal Inglaterra por las tierras belgas de Amberes, para fundar la Martin´s Brewery. Antes de esto comenzó a importar directamente desde Inglaterra barricas de la cerveza Martin´s Real Ale, y posteriormente de la Martin´s IPA y la Pale Ale.
La Gordon XMas es una d las cervezas que forman parte de la gama Gordon Finest Beers, la cual recibe su nombre del emblemático clan escocés de los Gordon, cuyo máximo exponente Adam de Gordon, conocido como Lord of Gordon.
Adam de Gordon fue un leal combatiente, lo cual le proporcionó, de manos del rey Robert I, padre de la independencia escocesa, una serie de tierras ubicadas en el Aberdeenshire escocés.
Es por ello que la Martin´s Brewery quiso homenajear a este afamado clan con una serie de cervezas y recetas exclusivas que ebocaran ciertos aires y tradición escocesa, junto a su significativo emblema. Una cerveza con temperamnto y redondez
Vista: Color rojizo con tonalidades oscuras, presenta una espuma beige, fina, compacta y de mediana persistencia.
Olfato: En aroma ganan protagonismo las notas tostadas, de corteza de pan, y las notas de caramelo con recuerdos de dulzor.
Gusto: Sabor directo y contundente,con claras notas dulces de caramelo, miel y alguna presencia especiada de fruto seco. Termina con un amargor seco, intenso y muy placentero.
Sensación: Cerveza de cuerpo pleno, textura sedosa, carbonatación media y ligeras notas alcohólicas en boca. Ideal para acompañar buenas carnes asadas o los típicos dulces navideños.
