American Strong Ale.
Her name was Gunnvor. His name was Giacomo. Giacomo first met Gunnvor when she and her dad entered his gondola one summer morning in Venice. How far he paddled and for how long he doesn’t remember. He only had eyes for the beauty of this fair, young Norwegian lady. When Gunnvor and her dad returned to her hometown of Grimstad, Giacomo tagged along leaving behind his beloved Venice and his craving for excellent coffee. He was in a trance with no will of his own. And although he serenaded in front of Gunnvor’s house all through summer he was rewarded by nothing but a slammed door from her dad. Gunnvor left her hometown, presumably marrying a fair fishing millionaire in Ålesund. Giacomo stayed behind in Grimstad, rowing tourists across the fiord. In spite of his broken heart he would be known as The Gay Gondolier for his high pitched beautiful serenading, that left no woman untouched on the fiord, in his gondola, in the sunshine – serving the best Latte in town. But one day Giacomo was gone. An old lady on the island of Håkallene was the last to see him, staggering west towards the setting sun. The Gay Gondolier had left for good.

Cerveza Imperial Brown Ale Amager Bryghus The Gay Gondolier
Amager Bryghus nos brinda en esta ocasión unacervezaenmarcada dentro del estilo ImperialBrown Ale, o lo que comúnmente denominamos una cerveza de aparienciatostada. Muy compleja por su alto grado alcohólico y por el gran volumen de maltas utilizadas para realizar esta cerveza.
Se trata de una cerveza que presenta una apariencia muy bonita. Se caracteriza por ser de un color caoba oscuro e intenso, donde la espuma crea una capa densa, generosa y persistente, que desprende intensosolores a bizcocho y otros tipos de bolleríarecién horneados.
Lo que bien se anuncia en nariz, es reafirmado en boca. Estacerveza tostadadestaca en boca por sus matices maltosos. Toques a bizcocho, pan vienen a la mente cuando te regalas el primer trago. En este trago también te das cuenta que a pesar de ser una cerveza densa, por su alta proporción de maltas caramelizadas, es unacerveza artesanade las que presenta un grado de bebilidad. Sus 8,00% pasan desapercibidos en boca y bien recibidos en nuestro estómago.
Elretrogusto es intenso y muy agradable. Volvemos a tener en la boca ese regusto a bollería recién elaborada. Una cerveza muy interesante, para aquellos que no están demasiado familiarizados con el amargor, y para los que aunque lo estén, quieren hacer un paréntesis y probar algo muy distinto al resto de cervezas.
Toques dulces y licorosos, que harán que tomarla sea como dar un paseo en góndola por las calles de Venecia.
