Voor de kerstperiode trekt Gordon zijn feestkleding aan. Zijn smeuïge schuim contrasteert met de robijnrode kleur van het bier en smelt in de mond weg als sneeuw voor de zon. Een absolute must onder de kerstboom! Dit kerstbier heeft een erg krachtige en gecorseerde smaak. Vanaf de eerste slok geniet je van de zachte smaak en de lange afdronk. Zijn houtachtige strengheid wordt loyaal gecombineerd met zijn zoetere tegenhanger en toch dringen ze elkaars smaakterritorium niet binnen. De zachte smaak verwent tong en gehemelte terwijl het krachtigere aroma langzaam in de keel wegsmelt.

John Martin bijvoorbeeld, een jonge Engelsman die in 1909 in Antwerpen aankwam, introduceerde de legendarische Guinness in België in 1914 en werd zo een pionier in de invoer van Ierse, maar ook Engelse en Schotse bieren in België en de rest van Europa.

Y a los postres con dulces navideños y como copa de sobremesa.Curiosidad: la gama Gordon Finest Beers recibe su nombre del clan de los Gordon, especialmente a través de la figura de Adam de Gordon, que se distinguió en el siglo XIII combatiendo junto a Saint Louis. Unos años más tarde, este valeroso anglo-normando recibió de manos del Rey Robert I 'the Bruce”, padre de la independencia escocesa, unas tierras situadas en el Aberdeenshire. Para rendir homenaje a este clan, uno de los más importantes y afamados del mundo, John Martin y su descendiente Anthony R. Martin actualizaron desde principios del siglo XX las recetas exclusivas de las Gordon Finest Beers. El origen escocés y el fuerte contenido alcohólico confieren a estas cervezas un gusto suave y un carácter explosivo. Enarbolando con orgullo el cardo, emblema de sus orígenes y el tartán, blasón de su clan.

Cerveza navideña belga con aires escoceses
Estamos ante una cerveza con mucho temperamento. Una cerveza belga que nos traslada a los emblemáticos parajes escoceses de las Highlands. Fue a principios del s. XX cuando John Martin cambió su natal Inglaterra por las tierras belgas de Amberes, para fundar la Martin´s Brewery. Antes de esto comenzó a importar directamente desde Inglaterra barricas de la cerveza Martin´s Real Ale, y posteriormente de la Martin´s IPA y la Pale Ale.
La Gordon XMas es una d las cervezas que forman parte de la gama Gordon Finest Beers, la cual recibe su nombre del emblemático clan escocés de los Gordon, cuyo máximo exponente Adam de Gordon, conocido como Lord of Gordon.
Adam de Gordon fue un leal combatiente, lo cual le proporcionó, de manos del rey Robert I, padre de la independencia escocesa, una serie de tierras ubicadas en el Aberdeenshire escocés.
Es por ello que la Martin´s Brewery quiso homenajear a este afamado clan con una serie de cervezas y recetas exclusivas que ebocaran ciertos aires y tradición escocesa, junto a su significativo emblema. Una cerveza con temperamnto y redondez

Vista: Color rojizo con tonalidades oscuras, presenta una espuma beige, fina, compacta y de mediana persistencia.
Olfato: En aroma ganan protagonismo las notas tostadas, de corteza de pan, y las notas de caramelo con recuerdos de dulzor.
Gusto: Sabor directo y contundente,con claras notas dulces de caramelo, miel y alguna presencia especiada de fruto seco. Termina con un amargor seco, intenso y muy placentero.
Sensación: Cerveza de cuerpo pleno, textura sedosa, carbonatación media y ligeras notas alcohólicas en boca. Ideal para acompañar buenas carnes asadas o los típicos dulces navideños.
