Momotarō is een populaire Japanse folkloreheld. Hij werd geboren uit een gigantische perzik die drijvend in een rivier werd gevonden door een oude, kinderloze vrouw die daar de was deed. Hoe verhoudt dit verhaal zich tot dit bier, vraagt u zich misschien af. Net als Momotarō werden er een paar ton perziken drijvend in de rivier gevonden, vlak naast onze brouwerij, door een brouwer zonder brouwervaring. Verbaasd door deze ontdekking besloot hij deze te combineren met passievrucht en een stevige basis van Berliner Weisse om deze sappige fruitlekkernij te creëren.

Momotarō is a popular Japanese folklore hero. He was born from a giant peach which was found floating down a river by an old childless woman who was washing clothes there. How does this story relates with this beer you may ask. Just like Momotarō, a few tons of peach were found floating down the river, just next to our brewery by a fruitless brewer. Amazed with this discovery, he decided to combine it with passion fruit and a solid base of Berliner Weisse to create this pulpy fruit delight.
