Heaps Normal is an independent, Australian-owned brewery founded in 2018 by a group of friends—pro surfer Jordy Smith, brand expert Andy Miller, and seasoned brewer Ben Holdstock—with a shared mission: to change the way people think about drinking.
Officially launching in 2020, Heaps Normal emerged at a time when alcohol-free beer options were limited and often uninspiring. The founders set out to create non-alcoholic beers that didn’t compromise on flavour, quality, or the social experience of drinking. Their goal was to make alcohol-free beer something people would choose not just out of necessity, but because it genuinely tastes great.
Driven by the idea of “redefining normal”, Heaps Normal champions mindful drinking without preaching sobriety. Their beers are brewed for everyone—from athletes and creatives to partygoers and parents—who want to enjoy a great beer without the hangover.
Their first release, Quiet XPA, quickly gained a cult following, and their range has since expanded to include favourites like Half Day Hazy and Another Lager. With a strong focus on flavour, community, and sustainability, Heaps Normal is leading the charge in the global “LoNo” (low and no alcohol) movement Ver menos
