Goose Island Lolita

Goose Island have a long history with sours, having been one of the first US breweries to really start experimenting with them. Add in their colossal barrel library and their incredible depth of knowledge and you know they’re going to do something special. The 2018 release of one of their classic sours, Lolita is a Belgian style wild ale fermented in red wine barrels with raspberries. It pours slightly hazy copper and the aroma is raspberries and a little woodiness. It’s sour to taste, with the raspberries coming through nicely, coupled with grapes and oak. The perfect beer for a wine lover, this will certainly provoke a few “oos” and “ahhs” at your next dinner party.
