A product of the early 2000s rapid hop development program of Australia, Ella is a half-sister to the world-renowned variety Galaxy but with much more subtle characteristics to its more well known sibling. Fast tracked into commercial use in 2007 from its first cultivation back in 2000, this South Pacific slammer certainly delivers bang for its buck. Covering the usual Polly’s bases, this hop absolutely bursts with bright tropical notes, fresh picked berries, and stonefruit sweetness, backed up with a slight spicy and floral edge to balance things out.
