Before we added more of the base to barrels for the second batch of the BA version, we made a little extra of our acclaimed concoction with Brandon on his recent visit to release it fresh as well. We kept all the adjuncts exactly the same for this beer. After the base was ready, we conditioned it on Brandon’s favorite coffee from home in Richmond, VA; @rostovscoffee Swiss Chocolate Almond roast along with Almonds and Marshmallow.The result is a beautifully decadent hot chocolate brownie stout laced with a rich nutty flavor from the almonds and a slightly sweet magical marshmallow finish with just enough coffee to cut through any sweetness. The short version - this beer drinks like a bowl of rocky road ice cream.
