Zeta Beer

Zeta Shire is a quintessential Hazy IPA that captures the essence of modern hopping techniques. Utilizing a vibrant blend of Simcoe, Mosaic, and Ekuanot, the profile is dominated by intense layers of tropical fruit and bitter orange, accented by a distinct candy-like sweetness. The inclusion of wheat and oats in the grist creates a substantial, robust body with a signature silky texture. This orange-gold ale presents a characteristic turbid appearance, delivering a lush, fruit-forward experience where the hop-derived juiciness is supported by a soft, rounded mouthfeel and a restrained bitterness that lingers pleasantly into a smooth, off-dry finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (6 SRM). Opaque with a persistent, uniform haze that creates a luminous shine. Features a dense, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity featuring a complex tapestry of tropical fruit, stone fruit, and zesty citrus. Powerful notes of mango, passion fruit, and bitter orange peel are complemented by a candy-like sweetness. Low, bready malt presence from the wheat and oats provides a clean foundation. Clean fermentation profile with subtle fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of juicy fruit flavors. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma with mango, berries, and tangerine. Medium-low perceived bitterness that is well-integrated and never harsh. The malt character is low but present as a soft, grainy sweetness. Balanced toward the hops with an off-dry finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable silkiness and creaminess. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or harshness. Provides a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Smooth and soft on the palate.
