Zeta Red Glow offers a vibrant sensory journey into the Southern Hemisphere, defining the New Zealand character of this Hazy IPA. It pours a pale orange with a characteristic opaque glow. Intense aromatics of stone fruit and tropical punch are driven by a massive 35 g/l dry-hop addition of Wai-iti, Rakau, Cryo Mosaic, and Galaxy. On the palate, a 'burly' and soft body carries layers of peach, passion fruit, and mango, supported by a neutral, bready malt backbone. The experience concludes with a delicate, clean citrus finish and a restrained bitterness that emphasizes the juice-like, hop-forward profile.
Appearance. Pale orange to light amber (5-7 SRM). Opaque with a hazy shine; no visible particulates. Persistent, meringue-like white head with high retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring dominant stone fruit (peach, apricot), tropical notes (passion fruit), and bright citrus. Low grainy, bready malt in the background. Clean fermentation profile with supportive fruity esters; no diacetyl or sulfur.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor of mango, lime, and peach. Low bready malt flavor provides a soft foundation. Bitterness is low to medium-high but perceived as moderate due to the full body. Off-dry finish with a lingering, smooth tropical aftertaste and a delicate citrus retrogusto.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, sturdy body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Lacks any harshness or hop-derived astringency.
