Zeta Palmeres is a vibrant Session New England IPA that captures a Mediterranean essence. Brewed with a grist of barley, wheat, and oats, it presents a signature pale and turbid appearance. The aroma is a concentrated burst of fresh citrus and tropical notes driven by heavy additions of Citra and Simcoe hops. Fermented with Vermont yeast, the beer develops subtle stone fruit esters that complement the hop profile. Despite its succulent and juicy character, the palate remains remarkably light and refreshing, offering a clean, drinkable experience. It balances hop-forward intensity with a smooth, sessionable finish that reflects its coastal inspirations.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (3-5 SRM). Distinctly hazy to opaque with a dense, persistent white head that leaves consistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, lime, and passion fruit from Citra and Simcoe hops, accompanied by a light resinous pine. Low grainy, bready malt presence from the wheat and oats. Moderate fruity esters of peach and apricot derived from the Vermont yeast strain.
Taste. Leading with high hop flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit. Low to moderate bitterness that is soft rather than harsh. The malt profile provides a light, bready foundation with a touch of grainy sweetness. Clean fermentation with a medium-dry, fruit-forward finish and a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a noticeably smooth, creamy texture from the addition of oats and wheat. Moderate carbonation. Very low alcohol warmth, consistent with its session strength, and no astringency.
