This Double IPA delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a massive dry-hopping rate and fresh bergamot zest. The aroma is dominated by the complex profile of Citra, Simcoe, Cryo Pop, Cryo Idaho 7, and Cryo Talus, yielding layers of pink grapefruit, tropical resin, and herbal citrus. On the palate, the bergamot provides a distinctively bright, floral-citrus snap that elevates the piney and stone fruit notes of the hops. A clean, lean malt backbone allows the firm bitterness and 8% alcohol to remain integrated and crisp. The finish is strikingly dry and lingering, showcasing modern hop saturation and a vibrant, fruit-forward character.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange with a slight hop haze. Features a persistent, moderate-sized off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by grapefruit, mango, and resinous pine. The bergamot zest adds a sharp, floral-citrus top note over a very low, neutral, grainy malt background with a hint of clean alcohol.
Taste. Bold citrus and tropical flavors from Citra and Cryo Idaho 7 lead, followed by resinous Simcoe notes. Bergamot provides a zesty punch. High bitterness is firm but lacks harshness, concluding in a very dry finish with a long, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Moderate carbonation and a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth without any harsh astringency.
