The sensory profile is dominated by the deep, jammy character of blackberries and blackcurrants, while blueberries provide a softer, rounded sweetness. Aromatically, the beer delivers a sharp lactic punch followed by a sea-breeze mineral salinity. On the palate, the intense fruit flavors are supported by a medium body that cleverly hides its 7% ABV, resulting in a crisp, refreshingly sour finish. Appearance. Striking burgundy to deep reddish-purple (SRM 20+). Features a moderately persistent, pink-tinted head with fine lacing. The clarity is hazy to opaque due to the heavy fruit concentration.
Aroma. High intensity. Punchy aromatics of fresh-picked blackberries and tangy blackcurrants lead the way, followed by subtle blueberry floral notes. A clean lactic sourness provides a sharp backbone, complemented by a light briny, mineral character. Malt and hop aromas are absent.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply acidic and fruit-forward. Intense flavors of blackberry and blackcurrant jam dominate the mid-palate, while blueberries add a touch of sweetness. The characteristic salinity is moderate, enhancing the fruit perception. It features zero hop bitterness and a clean fermentation profile. The finish is very dry and acidic with a lingering, tart berry skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body, providing more weight than a traditional Gose. Carbonation is moderate-high and prickly. A very slight astringency from the berry skins adds structure. Alcohol warmth is minimal and exceptionally well-integrated for its strength.
