This decadent Imperial Stout offers a luxurious, multi-layered sensory experience, amplified by three months of barrel aging. The pour is viscous and ink-black, releasing a powerful aroma of dark chocolate and roasted coffee, interwoven with the tropical sweetness of coconut paste and the savory, roasted depth of peanut paste. On the palate, a thick, pastry-like sweetness dominates, delivering intense flavors of cocoa and nutty richness that mask the significant 11.5% ABV. Hints of vanilla and oak from the wood complement the creamy, velvety mouthfeel, leading to a long, indulgent finish defined by toasted nuts, bittersweet chocolate, and a smooth, integrated warmth.

Appearance. Jet black and fully opaque. It pours with a thick, deep tan head that shows moderate retention, leaving prominent oily legs on the glass indicative of its high gravity and adjunct oils.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and charred grain. Bold notes of toasted coconut and creamy peanut butter are prominent, supported by subtle oaky vanilla and dark fruit esters resembling raisins and dried plums.

Taste. Intensely sweet and complex with a pastry-like entry. Initial impressions of liquid dark chocolate and heavy roast are quickly joined by a massive wave of coconut and savory peanut flavor. While a firm bitterness exists to support the malt, it is largely balanced by high residual sugar. The finish is long and warming with a lingering nutty character and a hint of dark-roasted grain.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, viscous, and exceptionally chewy. The texture is velvety and luscious, aided by the oils from the coconut and peanut additions. Noticeable alcohol warmth is present but smooth and well-integrated, with low carbonation.
