This decadent American Stout takes inspiration from the Dutch Stroop Wafel, layering rich roasted grains with syrupy cinnamon and smooth caramel. The sensory experience is led by an inviting aroma of milk chocolate and toasted waffle cookies, underpinned by a firm roasted coffee backbone. On the palate, initial waves of sweet caramel and spicy cinnamon evolve into deep cocoa and roasted malt notes. While the American Stout base provides a necessary counter-bitterness, the finish remains indulgent and cakey, reminiscent of a chocolate-covered treat. It is a harmonious marriage of classic dark malts and festive confectionary spices, offering a complex yet approachable dessert-like profile.

Appearance. Jet black (40 SRM) and completely opaque. It supports a large, persistent, and creamy head of light brown foam that leaves dense lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity featuring a prominent blend of milk chocolate, spicy cinnamon, and syrupy caramel. This is supported by a moderate roasted malt character suggesting espresso and toasted bread crusts. Very low resiny hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is sweet and cake-like, quickly followed by rich milk chocolate and syrupy caramel flavors. Mid-palate introduces a warm cinnamon spice that complements the moderate bitterness of roasted coffee beans. The finish is lingering and sweet, with a distinct cookie-like waffle note and a clean, smooth malt character that balances the aggressive roast typical of the style.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a noticeably creamy and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. Despite its pastry-inspired profile, there is no harsh astringency from the roasted grains, and it lacks any significant alcohol warmth.
