This session-strength American IPA presents a vibrant hop-forward profile, balancing its low-gravity structure with an intense dry-hopping of Citra, Simcoe, Loral, and HBC 630. A bright citrus and resinous pine backbone provided by Citra and Simcoe is layered with delicate floral nuances from Loral and the unique berry-forward character of HBC 630. Despite its light frame, the beer delivers a punchy bitterness and a clean, grainy malt base that ensures a crisp, refreshing finish. It is a modern, high-impact sensory experience designed for extreme drinkability without sacrificing the complex aromatics typical of the style.
Appearance. Medium gold (6-7 SRM) with a slight, persistent haze from heavy dry-hopping. Features a medium-sized, frothy white head with excellent lacing and persistence.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by grapefruit and tropical fruit from Citra, resinous pine from Simcoe, and a distinct floral, herbal note from Loral. Subtle berry and stone fruit notes from HBC 630 emerge as the beer breathes. Malt is low and clean, offering a light cracker-like background. Fermentation is clean with no perceptible diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-centric with a firm, medium-high bitterness. Dominant flavors of tangerine, pine resin, and soft herbal tea lead to a mid-palate of raspberries and peaches. The malt profile is low and grainy, providing just enough support to prevent the bitterness from becoming harsh. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the refreshing quality. No alcohol warmth is present, and there is a total absence of hop-derived astringency or harshness.
