Wren House Brewing Company Kingsnake - Rye Barrel

This release of Kingsnake takes a little different approach than our past releases. Historically, Kingsnake has been rye barrel-aged, which is still true for what is currently aging. However for this one we aged this delightful batch of King Snake in some lovely Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels. We then moved on to finishing this vintage on whole Madagascar vanilla beans, we're getting expressive notes of sweet chocolate, marzipan-esque almond notes, and a rich vanilla taste throughout. Finishing with an ever-present warming bourbon character that doesn't overpower, just rounds out this beer's final flavor.
