This American Lager serves as a crisp, clean canvas for an innovative collaboration with Bear Bones coffee. Utilizing a specialized cold-steeping technique, the beer transcends traditional lager boundaries, infusing the profile with vibrant notes of lychee, cherry, and guava. While the base maintains the classic grainy sweetness and refreshing nature of the style, the exotic stone fruit characteristics from the coffee beans provide a sophisticated layer of complexity. Subtle hints of caramel and aromatic spices weave through the sensory experience, leading to a remarkably moorish and dry finish that balances the beastly 6% ABV with effortless drinkability.
Appearance. Pale straw to medium yellow in color with brilliant clarity. Pours with a white, frothy head that displays moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity aromatic profile dominated by coffee-derived notes of lychee, guava, and red cherry. Beneath the fruit, a low grainy-sweet malt character and faint traces of caramel and spice are present, while the fermentation remains exceptionally clean with no perceptible esters.
Taste. The initial impression is crisp and refreshing, featuring a light grainy malt sweetness. The mid-palate is defined by complex coffee flavors of stone fruit and exotic tropical notes. Bitterness is low to medium-low, providing just enough balance against the malt. It finishes clean and dry with a lingering hint of spice and fruit skin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a prickly carbonic bite. Despite the 6% ABV, the alcohol warmth is very subtle and well-integrated, maintaining a smooth, non-astringent texture and high quaffability.
