This American IPA is a nostalgic yet modern tribute to the era of fruit-forward bitterness, amplified by contemporary techniques. At 7% ABV, it presents a bold sensory profile led by a hyper-accentuated grapefruit character. The heavy application of Cascade hops and Cascade-derived terpenes creates a vibrant citrus core, complemented by the tropical white wine notes of Nelson and the floral stone fruit of Amarillo. This hop-driven narrative is supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone, leading to a decidedly bitter and resinous finish. It is a crisp, aromatic, and intensely refreshing exploration of the tales of West Coast-inspired brewing.
Appearance. Luminous medium gold with brilliant clarity and a slight haze from heavy hopping. It supports a frothy, bright white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. Intense, pungent grapefruit zest and citrus oils dominate the foreground. Secondary layers reveal notes of crushed gooseberry and passionfruit alongside orange blossom and apricot. Low, clean, bready malt provides a neutral stage with no ester interference.
