This sessionable Ordinary Bitter presents a classic British profile with a striking copper hue. The aroma is defined by the floral and earthy notes of Goldings and Challenger hops, layered over a foundation of bready and lightly toasted malt. Despite its modest gravity, it offers a robust bite of firm bitterness that balances a delicate caramel sweetness. The Goldings provide a refined herbal grace, while Challenger adds a subtle resinous depth. It finishes dry and clean, epitomizing the drinkability of a traditional pub ale while maintaining a surprisingly substantial presence for its low alcohol content.
Appearance. Copper color (12-14 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a low, off-white head that shows moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a malt-forward character of toasted bread, biscuits, and a light caramel undertone. The hop aroma is moderate, featuring characteristic earthy, floral, and slightly spicy notes. Low fruity esters are present, and there is no detectable diacetyl.
