Witkap Pater Stimulo is a quintessential Belgian Blond Ale, presenting a brilliant golden hue topped by a dense, creamy white head. The sensory experience is led by an intense floral hop presence that mingles elegantly with the signature fruity esters of the proprietary Witkap yeast, reminiscent of fresh lemon and sweet orange peel. A foundation of grainy-sweet Pilsner malt provides a silky, crackery backbone, while subtle peppery phenols add a sophisticated layer of complexity. Effervescent and medium-bodied, it concludes with a refreshing, dry finish and a delicate, lingering bitterness that invites another sip, perfectly balancing its moderate strength.
Appearance. Deep gold color (SRM 5). Brilliant clarity with a large, dense, and creamy white head that exhibits excellent retention and characteristic Belgian lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent floral hop character and grainy-sweet, crackery Pilsner malt. Expressive yeast profile featuring citrusy orange and lemon esters with a background of subtle spicy, peppery phenols.
Taste. Initial impression of grainy-sweet malt and a hint of honey-like sweetness. The floral hop flavor is prominent, supported by a medium bitterness that balances the malt. Citrus yeast esters are evident through the mid-palate. Finishes medium-dry, smooth, and refreshing with a clean, lingering floral and malt aftertaste.
