Sharing Is Caring is a soulful British Brown Ale that celebrates the heritage of Plumage Archer malt. This storied grain imparts a smooth, deeply caramelized foundation with rich notes of toffee and subtle nuttiness. While traditional in spirit, the addition of Chinook hops provides a thoughtful modern counterpoint, layering the malt sweetness with distinct earthy undertones and refreshing hints of pine and spice. The result is a balanced, medium-bodied ale that avoids the heavy roast of a porter, favoring instead a clean, toasted complexity. Appearance. Dark reddish-brown (18 SRM) with excellent clarity. Pours with a moderate, persistent light tan head that leaves fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate sweet malt intensity featuring prominent toffee, toasted nut, and light chocolate notes. The hop character is noticeable, offering an earthy and slightly resinous pine quality with a hint of spice. Very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression of caramel and toffee sweetness from the specialty heritage malts. Flavors of toasted biscuit and nuttiness follow, devoid of any burnt or acrid roast. Hop bitterness is medium-low, providing just enough balance against the malt. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering earthy hop flavor and soft toffee aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel. Very low alcohol warmth and no detectable astringency.
