This vibrant Weissbier pours with a classic hazy glow, characteristic of its German heritage. The sensory experience is dominated by a robust fermentation profile, delivering high-intensity aromas of ripe banana and subtle spicy clove. On the palate, the Windswept Weizen offers a unique twist with gentle caramel notes weaving through the traditional bready, grain-sweet Pilsner and malted wheat base. The mouthfeel is notably fluffy and creamy, yet elevated by high, effervescent carbonation that ensures a crisp, refreshing finish. It strikes a delightful balance between fruity yeast esters and soft malt depth, making for a highly drinkable and aromatic ale.
Appearance. Deep gold (approximately 5-6 SRM) with a very thick, moussy, long-lasting white head; hazy and opaque with a visible yeast shine.
Aroma. High intensity featuring prominent ripe banana esters and moderate spicy clove phenols; underlying notes of bready, doughy wheat malt and a subtle, atypical hint of sweet caramel.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, grainy wheat and bready Pilsner malt, followed by a burst of banana and light caramel richness. Clove phenols provide a spicy counterpoint to the fruity esters. Very low bitterness with no significant hop flavor; finishes relatively dry and spritzy with a lingering wheat graininess.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a characteristic fluffy, creamy fullness; highly carbonated and effervescent with very low alcohol warmth and no astringency.
