Long White Cloud captures the spirit of Aotearoa through a vibrant showcase of New Zealand terroir. This American IPA radiates with intense aromatics of crushed gooseberry and white wine grapes from Super Sauvin, complemented by the bright, zesty lime character of Motueka. Layers of lush stone fruit, particularly apricot and peach, emerge from the Rakau hops, creating a complex tropical bouquet. Underpinned by a clean, restrained grainy malt profile, the palate is decidedly hop-forward with a firm, crisp bitterness. It finishes dry and refreshing, leaving a lingering impression of New World fruitiness and a clean, citrusy resin.

Appearance. Color is medium gold (approx. 7 SRM) with excellent clarity and a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by New Zealand character: distinct white wine grapes, gooseberry, and fresh lime zest. Secondary notes of apricot and tropical fruit are supported by a low, clean, grainy malt backbone. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of lime and stone fruit flavor, followed by a punchy gooseberry note. The hop bitterness is firm and high but lacks harshness. A low, neutral malt sweetness provides just enough support before transitioning into a decidedly dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste is long and hoppy, featuring lingering notes of resin and citrus peel.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the heavy hopping. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing prickle on the tongue. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
