A light cropping year overall in 2021 led to some orchard explorations around the local area and Beccy & Sam were happy to find some beautiful fruit in this young traditional orchard on the other side of the chew valley from the home farm.
The light and juicy fruit of Yeovil Sour (gooseberry, lemon zest, pineapple) partners very well with the soft, grippy tannins of young tree Dabinett and Black Dabinett (minerality, marmalade, autumnal orchard) and the whole thing is just insanely drinkable. No need for food pairings – you’ll drink it before the cooking is finished. 750ml. 5.3%.
