This elegant Brett Beer showcases the vibrant integration of barrel-aged golden ale with whole, organic Mariposa plums. Following a five-month maceration, the beer presents a complex profile of ripe stone fruit, floral perfumes, and the characteristic rustic funk of the Wildflower house mixed culture. The Mariposa plums provide a deep, succulent fruit heart, while the extended contact with skins and oak barrels introduces a subtle, structured tannin. Naturally carbonated and exceptionally dry, it balances bright acidity with earthy notes of wet hay and aged wood, reflecting a sophisticated expression of both the fruit and the primary fermentation process.
Appearance. Vivid ruby to deep garnet with a hazy, unfiltered clarity. Pours with a moderate, fine-beaded pinkish-white head that shows good retention and leaves light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma of fresh plum skins, jammy stone fruit, and hints of red berries. Supporting notes include floral blossoms, subtle vanillin from oak, and a pleasant, farmyard funk consisting of hay and dusty earth.
Taste. Initial tartness from the Mariposa plums leads into a complex array of stone fruit and light citrus flavors. The malt presence is minimal, providing a crackery backdrop for earthy funk and wood-derived tannins. Finishes bone-dry and crisp with a lingering, fruit-skin astringency and very low hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a prickly, high carbonation that enhances the fruit’s brightness. Features a light, drying tannin on the palate and no noticeable alcohol warmth.

A dizzying aroma, all candied red fruit and spices. Delicate fruit weight on the palate, sweet plum met with lifted carbonation and a touch of acid that just dances up the side of your tongue. Elegant and delicious.
