Wild Badgers Brewery Ida is a vibrant Witbier infused with fresh raspberry. It showcases a delicate interplay between the bready foundation of Pilsner and Wheat malts and the bright, tart acidity of red fruit. The aroma is dominated by ripe raspberries, supported by the subtle spicy phenols of the WB-06 yeast and a hint of citrus. Appearance. Pale pinkish-straw to light coral hue (3–5 SRM). Very hazy with a milky, whitish-pink shine. Thick, moussy, off-white to light pink head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of fresh raspberries. Bready, grainy maltiness follows with light notes of vanilla. Moderate yeast-derived phenols provide a hint of clove and spice, while zesty citrus-like fruitiness blends with the tart berry character. No perceptible hop aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is bright and tart from the raspberry. Balanced by a soft, bready malt flavor. Subtle spicy yeast character and light orange zest. Hop bitterness is low, provided by Magnum, serving only to support the crisp, dry finish. No harshness; clean aftertaste with lingering berry.
