The hop contribution is multifaceted, shifting from the bright stone fruit of Nectaron to the complex, dark tropical musk and crushed grape character of Nelson Sauvin. This intensity transitions into a crisp, firm bitterness on the palate. The result is a balanced yet hop-driven experience that finishes dry, emphasizing the unique oils and nuanced fruit character of its Southern Hemisphere ingredients.
Appearance. Color is medium gold (7 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring resinous pine, crushed gooseberry, and ripe peach. Moderate tropical fruit notes with a unique musky depth are supported by a low, clean, grainy maltiness with a hint of floral honey. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.
Taste. Initial impression is decidedly hop-forward. Medium-high flavors of citrus zest, pine needles, and tropical stone fruit dominate the palate. Bitterness is firm and assertive, balanced by a low, clean, toasted malt base. The Nelson Sauvin adds a distinct vinous character. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.
