WhiteFrontier’s Shooting Star is a luminous Hazy IPA that celebrates the raw, un-kilned power of Cryo Fresh™ Citra and Krush™ hops. This expression captures an intense, harvest-fresh profile, delivering a cosmic burst of ripe mango and zesty lime against a delicate backdrop of pine resin. The use of frozen hops preserves volatile oils, resulting in a vibrant, "just-picked" hop character that shines through a silky, soft body. Neutral, bready malts provide a subtle foundation, allowing the tropical and citrus brilliance to lead into a smooth, juicy finish. It is a brilliant example of modern hop technology meeting soulful brewing, offering an ecliptic experience of tropical fruit and forest freshness.
Appearance. Color is a luminous straw to pale orange (approx. 4 SRM). It features a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing. The beer is opaque and hazy with a characteristic shine, free of any visible yeast clumps or hop particulates.
Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by a massive tropical hop character featuring ripe mango, lime zest, and a hint of fresh pine resin. Background malt is clean and lightly bready. Fermentation character is neutral with subtle fruity esters that complement the hop profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a soft explosion of juicy hop flavors, mirroring the aroma with intense mango and bright citrus. Malt flavor is low and grainy, providing a neutral platform. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the full, soft body. The finish is off-dry and smooth, with a lingering fruit-forward aftertaste that lacks any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a noticeably soft, silky texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is no astringency or raw starch harshness. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated at 6% ABV.
