WhiteFrontier Jiminy
This India Pale Lager, a collaboration between WhiteFrontier and Espiga, presents an assertive, hop-forward interpretation of the German Pils. The sensory profile is defined by an explosive hop character from a generous dry hopping regimen, layering vibrant floral and herbal notes over a clean, lean malt backbone of Pilsner malt and toasted crackers. Despite its 5.9% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally crisp and refreshing. It delivers a firm, lingering bitterness that cuts through subtle doughy sweetness, finishing dry and bright. This collaboration successfully bridges traditional lager precision with the bold, aromatic intensity of a modern hoppy ale.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow in color; brilliant clarity. It supports a thick, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring punchy floral, herbal, and spicy notes with a hint of citrus from the dry-hop. Low grainy-sweet, doughy malt character with a light honey-like quality. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.
Taste. Initial clean, grainy malt flavor is quickly dominated by assertive hop bitterness and flavor. Notes of crackers and light toast lead into a very dry, crisp finish. Bitterness is medium-high and lingers into the aftertaste alongside spicy hop resin and a flinty, mineral dryness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that enhances the refreshing quality. Smooth and clean without being heavy; a very slight, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any harshness.
